PRESIDENT ILHAM ALIYEV RECEIVES GERMAN DELEGATION
On August 20, President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev received at the Presidential Palace the delegation of Germany led by Chairman of the Germany-Azerbaijan Forum and former State Secretary Otto Hauser.
The President recalled his meeting with Mr. Hauser during his official visit to Germany, which he described as very successful.
He expressed hope that this visit by German delegation will contribute to further expansion of bilateral cooperation between the two countries.
Otto Hauser noted that Azerbaijan’s holding a leading position in the region that President Ilham Aliyev informed about during his German visit attracts great interest of his country.
He said Germany is keen on cooperating with Azerbaijan in economic, energy and some other areas.
Touching upon the Armenia-Azerbaijan conflict over Nagorno-Karabakh, the guest expressed hope that it would be settled in a peaceful and just way, based on the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan.
