PRESIDENT OF AZERBAIJAN VISITS NEFTCHALA REGION
"For the first time during independent Azerbaijan, in 2007, internal investments have exceeded the level of external investments. I see the future of the country very bright", the President of Azerbaijan emphasized addressing the public of Neftchala. The Head of State noted, that Azerbaijan has turned to a leading country of region.
According to I. Aliyev, for last 3 years Azerbaijan has turned to the country with the most dynamically developing economy in the world. "The budget of Azerbaijan for three years has grown from 1 up to 8 billions, and economic power of the country now allows to solve all 
the problems put before it”, the President underlined.
Having noted the decreased level of poverty for last years from 49 up to 20%, the President has noted, that he wishes, there were not poor in the country at all. “The conditions in the country still does not satisfy me", - Aliyev added.
The Head of the State said that now there have been opened 570 thousand new workplaces in 5 years in the country, and in forthcoming years salaries will grow in the country and pension. The Head of State noted the political support he renders to businessmen and annually allocated 100 million of dollars.
The President has taken part in the newly opened branch of KhalgBank in Neftchala.
In the framework of his visit to Neftchala, the Head of State familiarized himself with chess school and viewed Neftchala boarding school to be repaired, and also took part in the opening of a iodine-bromine factory, the territory of which makes 17 hectares.
Production of iodine in Neftchala has begun since 1931, however, in 1994, the work in factory has been stopped because of discrepancy of production to world ecological standards. There are already 200-drilled wells and now it is planned to be drilled 140 more wells. The project capacity of factory now makes 500 tons of iodine a year, however, in the future capacity of a factory is planned to increase up to 1,5 thousand ton per year.
200 workers now work in factory, however, their number is planned to increase up to 500. The authorized capital of factory makes 12 million dollars, and has been already received and spent 3,5 million dollars of the credit from NikOil Bank. The European Reconstruction and Development Bank has approved 8,5 million dollars credit.
