PRESIDENT OF GEORGIA PAYS FIRST OFFICIAL VISIT TO UKRAINE
Issues of bilateral relations, as well as cooperation in frame of international and regional organizations were in the focus of meeting of the Presidents, Mikhail Saakashvili of Georgia and Leonid Kuchma of Ukraine, AzerTAj special-based correspondent of Ukraine reports.
The sides paid particular attention to the coordination in frame of GUUAM, in which Georgia presides for today.
President of Georgia, alumnus of the International Relations Institute of Kiev National University after T.G. Shevchenko, met with professor-tutor staff and students of this educational institution.
Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Ukraine Talat Aliyev was honorary guest of the meeting.
President of Georgia is planning to meet with the Prime Minister of Ukraine Victor Yanukovich, Minister of Foreign Affairs Konstantin Grishenko, as well as representatives of Ukrainian opposition.
