President of Pakistan Asif Ali Zardari kicks off official visit to Bahrain

President of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Asif Ali Zardari has kicked off a four-day official visit to the Kingdom of Bahrain aimed at strengthening bilateral ties and enhancing cooperation in multiple sectors. The President is accompanied by a high-level delegation.
During the visit, President Zardari is scheduled to hold meetings with King of Bahrain Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, as well as with the Crown Prince and Prime Minister Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa. In his meeting with King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the President will focus on bilateral relations between the two countries, as well as regional and international developments.
According to the Presidency’s press wing, upon arrival in Manama, the Pakistani President was received by the Commander of the Bahrain National Guard, Sheikh Mohammed bin Isa Al Khalifa, and Bahrain’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sheikh Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani.
Discussions in Manama between the leaders of Pakistan and Bahrain will focus on bilateral, regional, and international issues of mutual interest. The visit seeks to reinforce Pakistan’s long-standing cooperation with the brotherly Gulf nation while expanding opportunities for collaboration in trade and economic partnership, defense and security, and people-to-people ties. President Asif Ali Zardari will also address a reception at the headquarters of the Economic Development Board in Manama.
