PRESIDENT VISITS HAJIGABUL AND ALAT RESIDENTIAL AREAS

The same day, the President came to Hajigabul region.

In the framework of his visit to regions, Ilham Aliyev has taken part in opening of the Children`s Medical Center in Hajigabul. The Children`s Medical Center is unique and has no analogues in region. It will be equipped by the up-to-date equipment, and will carry out diagnosing treatment of the children of Hajigabul and adjoining regions.

It is necessary to note, that in Hajigabul with 63-thousand population, one third are children till 14 years.

Addressing the public of region, I. Aliyev has informed, that on returning to Baku, he would sign an order on allocation of extra 1 million dollars on accomplishment and developments of region.

"80 percent of the national economy are formed by the private sector", the President of Azerbaijan has stated, addressing to the public of Hajigabul. For the first time during independent Azerbaijan in 2007 internal investments have exceeded the level of external investments”, has emphasized the Head of the State.

The President noted that, if earlier the country was dependent on foreign investments, now the situation varies. "As a result of strengthening of the economy of Azerbaijan, the Azerbaijan companies will become the largest investors", he stressed.

Noting that, the average salary in the country today makes 215 AZN, Aliyev emphasized, that in the country there are families having much smaller incomes. Therefore, our priorities are to increase the minimal salary, increase of the salary to workers of budgetary sphere and increase in pensions. Our policy is of social orientation", the President stressed.

The Head of State noted importance of the socio-political stability in the country. “There, where there is no socio-political stability, there is no progress”, the President underlined.

President Aliyev stated that Azerbaijan never would return to the time of chaos and anarchy ruled in the end of 80s of the last century.

As he said, annexation of the Azerbaijani lands also became possible as a result of this destructive policy. However, now there is no force, which could try to occupy our lands. Now, we try to return the occupied territories", he stressed.

President Ilham Aliyev the same day visited the safety signs and galvanizing plant. The $3,5 worth plant consists of 2 shops and has a total area 56700 sqм. The plant with production capacity of 30-40 tons a day employs 62 workers.

The Head of the State visited also the Factory of Cross Ties in the Alat settlement. The $4,2 million-worth Factory is an only one on the Caucasus as such and among the countries of the Caspian basin, meeting modern standards. Capacity of the Factory is 240 thousand cross ties a year to provide construction of new railway sites with extent of 75-80 km. The factory employs 1 thousand workers.
