PRESIDENTS OF AZERBAIJAN AND UKRAINE MEET IN PRESENCE OF DELEGATIONS
“We had a very detailed talks, and have discussed all the issues of mutual interest. I think, now in the enlarged format, we will define more precisely the main directions of our cooperation”, President Ilham Aliyev said.
He described the Azerbaijan-Ukraine relations as very successful and covering a number of fields, and expressed confidence that this visit by the Ukrainian leader would foster their further development.
“I am sure that your visit, the talks held and the documents signed, will be an important stage in the development of friendly and partnership relations between our two countries,” President Ilham Aliyev said.
President of Ukraine Viktor Yuschenko said he was pleased to be in Azerbaijan. “It is very convenient and easy for us to maintain fruitful political, diplomatic relations with your country, as it is based by the established traditions, ancient ties between our people and sound relations between our governments,” he said.
The Ukrainian leader also expressed confidence that this visit complies with interests of both nations.
