RAI-1 broadcasts report on Azerbaijan

Baku, April 21 (AZERTAC). Italian RAI-1 TV channel has aired a special report on the World Economic Forum held in Azerbaijan`s capital and the country`s economic achievements. Journalist Giovanni Mazotti said that President Ilham Aliyev is an author of successes achieved by Azerbaijan, which hosted the World Economic Forum. The journalist says Azerbaijan became the dynamically developing economy thanks to the reforms carried out by President Ilham Aliyev. “Effective use of oil revenues and diversification of economy increased budget receipts and improved people`s living. The poverty level dropped to as low as 7 percent in the country with industrial production surging by 50 percent.”

The journalist says: “This forum indicates to breakthrough of such countries as Azerbaijan and their ability to attract investments.

Investments flow into not only oil industry but also other fields. It gives impetus to overall development of economy, expansion of infrastructure, introduction of tax remissions and creation of specialized workforce.”

“Azerbaijan`s successes stand out against the backdrop of financial and economic crisis. This country plays an important role in ensuring energy security of Europe,” the journalist adds.
