ROUND TABLE DISCUSSIONS DEDICATED TO TRAGIC JANUARY 20 EVENTS
Organizers and participants of the movements of protest in Moscow, representatives of creative intelligentsia from all Azerbaijan public organizations attended the sitting.
In his report “On role of Moscow Azerbaijan society in the days of Baku events”, President of “Ojag” society Tofig Melikli dwelt on the work the organizing committee of Azerbaijan community had been doing during those days, including holding regular press-conferences to provide local and foreign journalists with information on barbarian actions and massacre of the Soviet Army committed in Baku. On behalf of All Russian Azerbaijan Congress, VAK adviser Manaf Agayev also noted that January 20 tragedy was a military aggression and crime of the totalitarian Communist regime against Azerbaijan people.
The representatives of the creative intelligentsia also told on lessons of “black January” and decided to publish book related to the activity of Azerbaijan community in those tragic days.
