Russian ambassador: Our Azerbaijani brothers assisted us in a difficult situation

“As you know, not only Russians but also foreigners, citizens of other countries, are currently being evacuated from Iran. On Friday, June 13, I appealed for help from Azerbaijan and immediately received maximum support. I expressed my gratitude to President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and all my colleagues,” Mikhail Evdokimov, Russian Ambassador to Azerbaijan, told journalists following the concert of the Tchaikovsky Grand Symphony Orchestra held at the Azerbaijan State Academic Philharmonic Hall named after M. Magomayev.
“This tragic event shows true friends and partners. Our Azerbaijani brothers helped us on such a difficult day and stood shoulder to shoulder with us. On June 17, the majority of our citizens from Russian missions, their family members, children, and the orchestra will fly to Moscow,” Evdokimov added.
