RUSSIAN PRESIDENT ACCEPTS GOVERNMENT’S RESIGNATION
The government of Russia led by chairman Mikhail Fradkov was sent in resignation. It became known at a meeting of the RF president Vladimir Putin with the head of the Russian Government M. Fradkov during which he has addressed the president with the request for resignation of Cabinet. M. Fradkov, in particular, told, that the request is connected with the forthcoming large political events in the country and desire to give free chance to the president of Russia of choice of decisions, including personnel changes.
The Russian President, in turn, has stated, that "You are right, all of us together need to think of how to build structure of power and management so that they corresponded to the pre-election period and better have prepared the country for the period of post-parliamentary elections and after presidential elections in March 2008".
V. Putin thanked M. Fradkov for his work and asked to carry on his duty do approval by State Duma of the candidates of new Cabinet.
