Seoul hosts event celebrating national leader Heydar Aliyev`s 90th jubilee
Baku, May 11 (AZERTAC). A solemn event marking the 90th anniversary of national leader Heydar Aliyev took place in Seoul, the Republic of Korea.
The event was organized by Azerbaijan`s embassy to Korea and supported by SEBA Azerbaijan-Korea Cultural Exchange Association.
Korean top officials, diplomats accredited in the country, chiefs of global companies and universities, Azerbaijanis studying here, journalists and President of World Taekwondo Federation Chungwon Choue took part in the event.
The event participants viewed a photo exhibition featuring life and activities of great leader Heydar Aliyev.
Charge d`Affairs of the Embassy of Azerbaijan R. Teymurov highlighted national leader Heydar Aliyev`s role in strengthening the country`s independence, building democratic, legal and modern state, restoring socio-political stability and developing economy.
Teymurov said Heydar Aliyev was the architect and founder of the modern sovereign Azerbaijan. “The independent, progressive and stable development model, which is based on ideas like Azerbaijanism, national unity, social fair, well-being of population, territorial integrity, was founded by Heydar Aliyev and today is successfully continued by President Ilham Aliyev.”
Teacher of Azerbaijan National Conservatoire Naiba Shahmammadova played works by Azerbaijani composers on piano, which was followed by performance of the Azerbaijan State Dance Ensemble.
