SPEAKER OF AZERBAIJAN PARLIAMENT TAKES PART AT RF STATE DUMA MEETING
On 24 December, Speaker of Milli Majlis of the Azerbaijan Republic Ogtay Asadov on the invitation of management of the Duma’s lower chamber, as honorary guest took part at the first ceremonial meeting of the State Duma of Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation of the fifth convocation.
The first session of the State Duma by tradition was opened by the oldest deputy of the State Duma of new convocation, member of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation, Nobel Prize winner Zhores Alferov, who wished successes to the deputies.
At meeting, also speaking was Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation Victor Zubkov, who, having wished successes and fruitful work to the Duma, expressed hope that the new structure of the Russian Parliament would support the government in key initiatives.
