Speaker Sahiba Gafarova: Cooperation within international parliamentary organizations is crucial

Cooperation in science, education, and culture is vital for fostering closer, long-term ties between the two peoples, particularly the youth, said Sahiba Gafarova, Speaker of Azerbaijan’s Milli Majlis, at a joint briefing with Francina Armengol Socias, Speaker of the Congress of Deputies of the Kingdom of Spain.
"At today's meeting, we discussed the relations between our parliaments and highlighted the importance of reciprocal visits of our parliamentarians and delegations. On the other hand, cooperation and mutual support within international parliamentary organizations are also crucial. Undoubtedly, there are ample opportunities to expand parliamentary cooperation between the two countries. Francina Armengol Socias’ visit testifies to the mutual desire to leverage these opportunities,” Gafarova added.
