Street in Derbent named after Azerbaijan`s national leader Heydar Aliyev

Baku, May 18 (AZERTAC). A street in the city of Derbent in Dagestan has been named after national leader of Azerbaijan Heydar Aliyev on the occasion of his 90th anniversary.

The decision was passed at a meeting of deputies of the city of Derbent on May 8.

Mayor of the city of Derbent Imam Yaraliev and chairman of Derbent City Deputies Meeting Movsum Rahimov sent a letter to the Presidential Administration of Azerbaijan on this decision.

According to the letter, this decision is vivid example of a deep respect to national leader Heydar Aliyev, who played an exceptional role in strengthening and developing friendly relations between Russia and Azerbaijan and Dagestan and Azerbaijan.

The letter says today President Ilham Aliyev successfully continues the national leader`s political course.

“We are confident that Azerbaijan-Dagestan friendship, laid by national leader Heydar Aliyev will strengthen even more.”
