TALKS ON LEGAL STATUS OF CASPIAN IN ASTANA
Azerbaijan delegation was headed by the deputy foreign minister of Azerbaijan Khalaf Khalafov.
“Kazakhstan supports preparation and adoption of the political document “Pact of Stability on the Caspian Region”, foreign minister of Kazakhstan Gasimjomard Tokayev stated at the event. The document should reflect the issues of combat against terrorism, illegal circulation of arms and drugs, illegal migration.
At the news conference held rightly after the action, it was stated that almost all the positions of the abovementioned Convention were discussed in Astana meeting, held exchange of views of the sides, reached agreement in some principle questions amd also official communiquй was signed.
Next meeting of the Working Group is said to be in the first quarter of 2006 in Moscow.
