Turkiye's smart ammunition to be launched with hydrogen energy

The Turkish Hydro-GIDS Smart Defense System of Gurbag Defense and Technology Inc. is on display at SAHA Expo in Istanbul, Turkiye, according to Anadolu Agency.
Hydro-GIDS consists of radar, electro-optical, hydrogen-propelled launcher and communication systems mounted on a trailer.
The most critical feature of Hydro-GIDS is the launcher system.
Classical launcher systems, generally used with detonation, either have a single-shot life or require maintenance after each shot.
The hydro-GIDS system's launcher uses a hydrogen-fed propulsion system.
Thanks to this propulsion system, the launchers can be used more than once after the ammunition is fired, and the ammunition thrown is exposed to much less shock, thus eliminating the risk of possible malfunctions.
