UNOFFICIAL VISIT OF TURKEY’S PRIME MINISTER TO BERLIN
Prime Minister of Turkey Recep Teyyip Erdogan paid one-day unofficial visit to Berlin, on January 9, AzerTAj correspondent reports. Issue of integration of Turkey into the European Union was in the focus of meetings and negotiations held with the officials of Germany.
It should be reminded that currently, about 300 thousand Turks reside in Berlin, mainly in Creusberg urban quarter. Berlin Federal Academy, German-Turkish entrepreneurs association and German Federal industrial association organized in Turkish center “ Creusberg” the meeting of Prime-Minister of Turkey with the fellowmen. The words of Prime Minister – “We wish to integrate into the European family and intend to achieve it. Turkey and the European Union have to receive the political and economic benefit from this integration” were greeted with cheers.
