The US embassy in Azerbaijan has hosted a commemorative ceremony to honor the victims of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks on New York.
US ambassador Ann Derse remembered the consequences of the terrorist attacks that occurred 6 years ago.
She expressed gratitude to Azerbaijan, as the nation was one of the countries that supported the USA after 9/11 attacks, and contributed to the fight against international terrorism.
Ambassador read out US President George W. Bush’s message on the 9/11 tragedy.
The message says September 11 became a turning point in the American history.
Upon completion of the ceremony, the participants paused for a moment of silence to mark the 6th anniversary of 9/11 attacks.
