Uzbekistan hosts International film forum Golden Geupard
Baku, October 20 (AZERTAC). The 1st International film forum “Golden Geupard” started in Tashkent, Uzbekistan on Wednesday.
The forum is co-organized by the Fund “Forum of Culture and Arts of Uzbekistan” and the Uzbekkino National Agency.
Representatives of embassies and international organizations in Tashkent, cultural and art figures of Uzbekistan, actors and directors and journalists attended the opening ceremony.
The forum brings together actors, directors, producers, film critics and screen writers from Azerbaijan, Germany, the United States, Russia, Spain, Lithuania, China, Iran, Poland, France, Switzerland and other countries.
Azerbaijan was represented by “Buta” by Ilgar Najaf in the film forum.
The principal idea of the Golden Guepard Film Forum is fully expressed in its slogan “Civilization of the 21st Century: Dialog of Cultures”, and the motto of this year “Human Stories: Philosophy of Feelings.”
The contest program consists of three directions: full-length feature films, short-length films and animations. Film makers from more than 45 countries of Europe, Asia, South and North America applied for participation in the contest. Winners are to be awarded with prizes for Best Full-length Film, Best Short-length Film, Best Animation, Best Direction, Best Male Role, and Best Female Role.
