Wallonia hosts Azerbaijani-Belgian business forum
Brussels, June 12 (AZERTAC). Representatives of the Azerbaijani and Belgian business circles have gathered in Wallonia region, to explore ways of developing bilateral relations.
Held at the Foreign Trade and Investment Agency (AWEX), the Azerbaijani-Belgian business forum was co-organized by the Azerbaijani Ministry of Economic Development and the Azerbaijani embassy in Belgium and Luxembourg.
Apart from businessmen, representatives from AZPROMO, Ministry of Economic Development and Azerbaijan Investment Company attended the event.
Speaking at the forum, Samir Veliyev, Head of the Administration of the Ministry of Economic Development focused on what makes Azerbaijan an ideal location for doing business.
Ambassador Fuad Isgandarov highlighted the achievements gained in Azerbaijan after the country restored its independence.
He underlined the importance of cooperation between the two countries` businessmen.
The Ambassador described the business forum as another ground for economic cooperation between the two countries. He hailed the expansion of economic ties between Belgium and Azerbaijan, saying “Azerbaijan became a favorable market for Belgium”.
The event featured the presentation of Belgian leading companies, including “BESIX” Group, the largest company operating in construction of buildings, infrastructure, environmental projects and roads, as well as “IBA” and “Orfit, the world leaders in production and development of medical devices.
