WARSAW TO HOST FIRST SITTING OF AZERBAIJAN-POLAND INTERGOVERNMENTAL COMMISSION
A delegation led by Minister of the Economic Development of Azerbaijan Heydar Babayev and the Minister of Economy of Poland Peter Voznyak included top-ranking officials of two countries.
During the meeting, the current state and prospects of development of the bilateral relations, expansion of cooperation in energy, industry, trade, agriculture, tourism, transport and the banking system were high on the agenda and the necessary proposals were put forward respectively.
After completing the first commission’s sitting, the Azerbaijani delegation met with the Poland Prime-Minister Jaroslaw Kacynski to discuss today’s state of bilateral cooperation. On September 12, the sitting continued and the Protocol of the talks has been signed.
Addressing the participants, the Poland Minister of Economy P. Voznyak noted that at the bilateral meeting widely were discussed issues concerning the expansion of cooperation in energy, investment and trade turnover between two countries.
In his turn, the Minister of Economic Development of Azerbaijan H. Babayev stated that the signed protocol play important role in expansion of economic cooperation between Azerbaijan and Poland.
Finally, the business seminar dedicated to the Azerbaijani-Polish economic ties and investment opportunities of Azerbaijan was held.
The Chairman of the Polish Seym Boqdan Borusewicz accepted the Azerbaijani delegation as well.
