Western Azerbaijan Community condemns absurd statements by “Catholicos of Cilicia” against Azerbaijan

The Western Azerbaijan Community condemns the absurd statements by “Catholicos of Cilicia” against Azerbaijan, the Community has told AZERTAC.
“We remind the Catholicos of Cilicia, who speaks not as a clergyman, but as a Dashnak-minded politician, that the “Great Armenia from sea to sea” fairy tale, as well as the racist mythology promoted by the Armenian Church for centuries, was blown to smithereens by Azerbaijan during the 2020 Patriotic War, and there is no going back to it. If the “Cilician Catholicos” is now preoccupied with the interests of the Armenian people, then he should promote peace and reconciliation in the region, not enmity and territorial claims against another country. Therefore, he should promote a dialogue of the Armenian authorities with the Community over the return of Western Azerbaijanis to their native lands.
The Western Azerbaijan Community calls on the Lebanese community to condemn the hateful statements of the “Cilician Catholicos”, which targets Azerbaijan's sovereignty and territorial integrity and calls for interference in its internal affairs,” the Community said.
