Works by Azerbaijani artists displayed at UN exhibition

Baku, May 7 (AZERTAC). Works by Azerbaijani artists Elshan Sarkanoglu and Gulare Majidova are demonstrated at an exhibition themed “City landscapes in modern European painting” at the United Nations Office in Geneva.

Organized by the European Council, the exhibition also showcases works by artists from Andorra, Austria, Estonia, Georgia, Germany, Italy, Lithuania, Portugal, Moldova, Romania, Russia, Slovenia and Switzerland.

Director General of United Nations Office in Geneva Kasim Zhomart Tokayev made a speech at the event. Noting that Azerbaijani culture is an integral part of European fine arts and culture, he thanked the country for the participation in the exhibition.
