YAP REGIONAL BRANCHES CONDUCT ZONE MEETING
YAP Central Administration organized a zone meeting of the YAP regional branches of the north region on December 15 in Khachmaz. The aim of the meeting was to prepare for the upcoming presidential elections in Azerbaijan.
The event was attended by chairmen of YAP regional branches of Khachmaz, Guba, Siyazan, Devechi, Gusar and YAP Board and Council members.
Chairmen of regional branches reported on the work to prepare for the 2008 presidential elections in Azerbaijan. Regional branches seriously work to ensure transparent and democratic conduct of elections.
Deputy Chairman of the New Azerbaijan Party, MP, Ali Ahmadov said all conditions would be created to conduct transparent, democratic and free elections. According to him, YAP must do anything to ensure that party members will be active and voters will be organized during the election campaign. To this end, the action plan prepared by the YAP Administration must be fulfilled properly.
He expressed confidence that chairman of the YAP Ilham Aliyev will get Azerbaijan people’s mandate to govern Azerbaijan again as the economy of the country is developing rapidly and social welfare of the population is improving.
