10th anniversary of national leader Heydar Aliyev`s death marked abroad
Baku, December 12 (AZERTAC). The 10th anniversary of national leader Heydar Aliyev`s death was marked in different countries of the world.
The United Arab Emirates has hosted a seminar to commemorate the national leader`s memory. The seminar was largely covered by the country`s “Al-Bayan” newspaper. The article is available at http://www.albayan.ae/one-world/overseas/2013-12-10-1.2018005.
The event held in Dushanbe, Tajikistan brought together representatives of the diplomatic corps, heads of international organization, intellectuals and others. MP Elmira Akhundova`s book “Heydar Aliyev. Personality and time” was exhibited at the foyer of the seminar venue.
The Azerbaijan`s embassy in Qatar has organized a commemorative event to mark the 10th anniversary of national leader Heydar Aliyev`s death. Azerbaijani ambassador Tofiq Abdullayev spoke about the national leader`s life and political activities, as well as his role in development of modern Azerbaijan.
A commemorative event on the death anniversary of the national leader has been held at the Azerbaijani Cultural Centre in Tashkent. Opening the event, director of the cultural centre Samir Abbasov highlighted Heydar Aliyev`s political services in presentation Azerbaijan to the world. Azerbaijani ambassador to Uzbekistan Huseyn Guliyev also delivered a speech at the event.
The Azerbaijani consulate general in Tabriz has also organized an event to commemorate the national leader`s memory. Azerbaijani consul general in Tabriz Ali Alizade spoke about Heydar Aliyev`s role in implementation regional energy projects.
The Union of the Azerbaijani Youth in Ukraine has held an event to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the national leader`s death in Kyiv. Chairman of the Union Anar Tahirov informed the participants on the Heydar Aliyev`s activity in development and progress of the modern Azerbaijan.
The Azerbaijani Cultural Centre in Paris has also organized a commemorative event. Opening the event Azerbaijani ambassador to France Elchin Amirbayov spoke about Heydar Aliyev`s rich lifetime and political career.
