17th ECO Summit in Khankendi in spotlight of Kazakh media outlets

Kazakhstan`s media outlets widely covered the visit of Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov to the city of Khankendi to participate in the 17th Summit of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO).
The Inform.kz, Kazlenta.kz, Kapital.kz, Ortcom.kz and Dknews.kz highlight the economic cooperation between the ECO member states discussed within the summit. The main attention was paid to coordination in the fields of transport and logistics, energy, climate security, digital transformation and other areas.
The reports mention that the head of the Kazakh government emphasized the importance of the Trans-Afghan Railway for the economic development of the region.
The media outlets also quote the remarks by Olzhas Bektenov, in which he expressed Kazakhstan's readiness to invest in the construction of the Torghundi-Herat railway project.
"The government of the Republic of Kazakhstan confirms its intentions to implement this project. A corresponding memorandum will be signed among the sides in the near future," the Prime Minister emphasized.
