34th SESSION OF ICMF STARTS IN ISLAMABAD
The 34th Session of the Islamic Conference of Foreign Ministers (ICFM) entitled “Session of Peace, Progress and Harmony” started Wednesday in the Pakistani capital, Islamabad.
At issue are the question of Palestine, the Arab - Israeli conflict, the situation in Iraq, Somalia and Afghanistan, the conflict in Jammu and Kashmir, the peace process between India and Pakistan and the cooperation of Iran with the International Atomic Energy Agency.
The session also handed over the Conference’s rotating presidency from Azerbaijan to Pakistan.
Addressing the event, Azerbaijan’s Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov spoke of what his country done as an ICMF chairing country.
On the sidelines of the session, Elmar Mammadyarov met with heads of Turkish, Iranian, Egyptian and Pakistani delegations.
