4th issue of “IRS-Isan” magazine presented in Tokyo
Tokyo, February 17 (AZERTAC). The Azerbaijani Embassy in Tokyo has hosted presentation of the 4th issue of the Japanese-language “IRS-Isan” magazine.
The event brought together political and business figures of Japan.
Opening the event, Azerbaijani Ambassador Gursel Ismayilzade highlighted Azerbaijan`s history, culture and its recent economic achievements. He stressed the role of the magazine in introducing Azerbaijan`s culture in the world.
The Ambassador also hailed the activities of Azerbaijan`s first lady, President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, Goodwill Ambassador of UNESCO and ISESCO Mehriban Aliyeva in promoting Azerbaijan in the international community. He said that the edition featured the article of the First Lady of Azerbaijan about the Karabakh School of mugham. “The article provides detailed information about the art of mugham, as well as famous representatives of the Azerbaijani school of mugham.”
The Ambassador said the article would play a profound role in promoting the Azerbaijani mugham in Japan.
The edition also features articles about the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, highlighting Azerbaijan`s position on the problem, as well as Khojaly tragedy, the great Azerbaijani poetess Mehseti Ganjavi, art of guram (patchworks).
Addressing the event, Kuzayasu Ishida, the author of one of the articles, hailed the economic development and tolerance in Azerbaijan. He praised Azerbaijan`s role in ensuring the European energy security.
