57TH CANNES FILM FESTIVAL OPENS

Film festival was solemnly opened in Cannes, France on May 12. Famous Spanish filmmaker Pedro Almodovar opened the festival and stated that the first evening of the festival is devoted to the victims of the 11 March terrorist acts in Madrid. Chiarman of the Jury American filmmaker Quentin Tarantino wished every success to the festival participants.

19 films will be demonstrated in the festival. It will end on May 22 by presenting Golden Palm award.

2000 guests were invited to the festival.
