Madrid hosts annual conference of European Alliance of News Agencies VIDEO
Madrid, April 9 (AZERTAC). The Spanish news agency AGENCIA EFE has hosted in Madrid an annual conference of the European Alliance of News Agencies (EANA), the network of large news agencies from all over the world.
Director General of Azerbaijan State Telegraph Agency (AZERTAC) Aslan Aslanov took part in the event.
Themed “News content for new platforms partnerships and cooperation”, EANA’s Conference focuses on analyzing what the different types of media expect in the future from news agencies, and the opportunities which offers the development of video, both in the news or reportage format and covering life news.
EANA, which was founded 58 years ago, is made up by around thirty news agencies from as many countries.
EANA`s President Peter Kropsch and EFE`s chief Jose Vera delivered welcoming speeches.
Speakers, including Austrian APA`s CEO, Peter Kropsch, President of EFE, Jose Vera, Responsible for Relationships with News Organizations, Twitter, Joanna Geary, Director Journalism Research, Pew Research Center of the USA, Amy Mitchell highlighted urgent problems facing news agencies in the modern world.
They focused on various topics like News and Social Media, Twitter and News, Cooperation with News Agencies, Digital News Media and the News Agencies, Video as a content strategy and a future business for online newspapers, the survival of the news agencies and audiovisual development.
