Abbas Abbasov: BIG collaborates with renowned researchers in decolonization
Baku, December 14, AZERTAC
“The Baku Initiative Group (BIG) signed five memorandums in 2024. As a think tank, BIG works closely with international and renowned researchers in the field of decolonization,” said Abbas Abbasov, Executive Director of the Baku Initiative Group, during the presentation of BIG's large-scale report on Decolonization Day.
Abbasov highlighted that two significant reports have been prepared by international researchers in this area. “One of the key objectives of the study is to demonstrate that, despite having the same governance and legislation, mainland France and its overseas territories differ sharply. The reports argue that the French government pursues a deliberate discriminatory policy in this regard.”
The study focuses on key economic indicators, including income levels, economic structure, external debt, imports and exports, energy production, and infrastructure. It highlights the challenges and opportunities faced by these territories.
