AGRARIAN SECTOR IS DEVELOPING DUE TO BUSINESS PEOPLE
Farmers, having rounded the first stage of agrarian reforms, considerably increased production of output of cattle farming and agriculture. So, about 2 million 200 thousand of bread products were produced in 2002. This number is by 177 thousand 700 tons more than last year’s indexes. Compared to 2001, potatoes harvest was by 88 thousand 600 tons more, vegetables - by 57 thousand tons, fruit and berries - by 14 thousand 100 tons, melons and gourds - by 38 thousand 400 tons, green tea leaf - by 16 thousand tons and cotton - by 34 thousand tons.
Side by side with quantitative indexes, the attention is paid to quality of production. So, 9,2 percent of grain production growth, 74,9 percent of potato production, 21,3 - of fruit and berries, 20,2 percent of vegetables and 60 percent of melons and gourds production have been achieved at the expense of raising crop capacity.
