AMBASSADOR KLAUS GREWLICH HOLDS PRESS CONFERENCE
Since there is no Embassy of Ireland - presiding over the European Union during the last six months - in Azerbaijan, the job has been done by the German Embassy.
Ambassador Grewlich described the inviting Azerbaijan to dialogue on enlarged Europe as the most important result of their activity within the past period. One more great achievement, according to hi, is the giving of concrete content to the dialogue between the European Union and Azerbaijan in the energy sphere.
He also noted that many the problem of financing the permanent secretariat of the intergovernmental Commission of TRACECA showed that many in Brussels are far from understanding of the project’s importance. Due to active diplomatic initiatives, the problems have been solved, the Ambassador stated.
He, finally, pointed to the great potential for development of the TRACECA program and its transformation into such grandiose project as the Great Silk Road.
