AMBASSADOR OF UZBEKISTAN RECEIVES MEMBERS OF ADVISORY COUNCIL
The meeting attended by prominent workers of science of Azerbaijan, writers and poets was held under the warm atmosphere, AzerTAj correspondent reports. They participants highly appreciated the visit of President Ilham Aliyev to Uzbekistan and pointed out that as a new stage in Azerbaijan-Uzbek relationship it would serve as an example for other Turkic speaking states.
Ambassador Abdugafur Abdurahmanov thanked the visitors for the expressing sympathy and noted that after the bloody events, representatives of different stratum of Azerbaijan people called to Embassy to offer their sympathy and kind wishes.
Ambassador described President Ilham Aliyev’s visit to Uzbekistan as a historical one and expressed confidence that it would foster development of cooperation between the two states.
Having thanked for the warm reception, Chairman of Advisory Council Mammad Alizadeh highly appreciated the hospitality shown by President of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov to the head of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, and named it as a sign of deep respect of Uzbek leader to the people of Azerbaijan and blessed memory of genial leader Heydar Aliyev.
