American expert: JD Vance’s visit to Baku is really strategically important
Washington, February 11, AZERTAC
“The visit by JD Vance visit to Baku is really strategically important,” Glen Howard, President and Chairman of the US Saratoga Foundation, told AZERTAC.
According to him, the visit shows that Azerbaijan is changing its position in the United States, moving from a relationship to a partnership, and one that's strategic. “That's very important for the future of U.S.-Azerbaijan relations. Because for the first time the United States is treating Azerbaijan as an equal and so, it's no longer prioritizing relations with our Armenia, but putting Azerbaijan at a higher level than it has previously ever been. So, the United States is now balanced in its approach to Azerbaijan. It is also showing that the future of the TRIPP corridor is also important to the future of Azerbaijan–Armenia relations,” he said.
“I cannot but underscore how important that is to Azerbaijan that the United States is now treating Azerbaijan as an equal partner and it has nothing but great prospects for the future of the two countries in the relationship of the United States,” Glen Howard emphasized.
