SOCAR, Uzbek companies explore enhancing cooperation

On September 17, SOCAR President Rovshan Najaf met with Laziz Kudratov, Minister of Investment, Industry and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan, and Sherzod Khodjaev, Minister of Energy.
During the meeting, it was noted that, thanks to the political will of President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, relations between the two countries have reached the level of Eternal Friendship. In this context, it was noted that economic relations between the two countries, including cooperation in the energy sector, are developing dynamically.
During the discussions, the sides reviewed the project for the construction of new filling stations under the SOCAR brand in Uzbekistan, as well as the work carried out on the Ustyurt investment blocks. It was emphasized that these projects will contribute to the development of energy cooperation between the two countries.
The sides also exchanged views on expanding relations between SOCAR and Uzbek companies, implementing joint investment projects and other issues of mutual interest.
