Anniversary of national leader Heydar Aliyev`s death commemorated abroad

Baku, December 13 (AZERTAC). Commemorative events on the 10th anniversary of national leader Heydar Aliyev`s death have been held in different countries, as Astrakhan Oblast and the Saint Petersburg city of the Russian Federation, Pakistan, and Romania.

The commemorative event held in the Astrakhan Oblast has brought together representatives of the city`s authoritative bodies, Diaspora members and journalists. The event participant put flowers at the monument to the national leader in the city center. The secondary school named after Heydar Aliyev in the Astrakhan Oblast has also hosted an event to commemorate the national leader.

Heydar Aliyev Avenue in Bucharest has also hosted a commemorative event on the death anniversary of Heydar Aliyev. The event was attended by employees of the Azerbaijani Embassy in Romania, SOCAR`s and SOFAZ`s offices in the country, Azerbaijani students studying in Bucharest and others. Delivering a speech at the event, representative of the Embassy Tehran Shukurov spoke about Heydar Aliyev`s role in strengthening democracy in Azerbaijan.
