Astrakhan Governor hails relations with Azerbaijan
Astrakhan, May 13 (AZERTAC). Governor of the Russian Federation`s Astrakhan Region Alexander Zhilkin has praised the region`s ties with Azerbaijan.
“Open and sincere friendly relations between Azerbaijan and Astrakhan will boost the economic relations and foster the implementation of new projects,” he told journalists.
“I see only positive dynamics in the progress of the economic relations. Today, we discussed the ways of improving ferry transportation between our seaports.”
“We are interested in purchasing products made in Azerbaijan, including construction material. I don’t see any problem or negative factor that can cause our trade decrease,” the Astrakhan Governor noted.
Zhilkin thanked Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and the Heydar Aliyev Foundation for the projects carried out in Astrakhan.
The Governor said: ‘It`s not easy to implement these humanitarian projects. These are true relations, practical friendly relations rather than those on paper.”
