At least 20 people killed in bomb explosion in Quetta Pakistan

In Pakistan, at least 20 people were killed while dozens injured in Quetta city the capital of Balochistan province in a reported bomb explosion on Saturday. According to rescue officials, several injured are in a critical condition and the death toll may rise.
Rescue teams and emergency services were swiftly deployed in the area and the injured were evacuated to the nearby hospitals. The exact nature and cause of the blast are yet unknown. Further investigation was underway to determine whether it was a terrorist attack or an accident.
According to reports the explosion rocked at the Quetta railway station early in the morning. Soon after the blast Police and Rescue teams arrived at the site of the blast and an emergency was declared at hospitals in the city.
While talking to the media, Senior Superintendent Police (SSP) Operations Quetta Muhammad Baloch said that the explosion seemed to be a suicide blast; however, he noted that further investigation was underway.
Condemning the deadly incident, the Acting President of Pakistan, Syed Yousaf Raza Gillani said terrorists were enemies of humanity who targeted innocent people. He reiterated the government’s resolve to take all possible measures for the complete eradication of terrorism.
As per claims of the Rescue Service, the blast rocked at a platform inside the railway station. On the other hand, the Balochistan government spokesperson in a statement had said that police and security forces had reached the site of the incident.
