Azerbaijan and International Energy Agency discuss cooperation

Azerbaijan’s Energy Minister Parviz Shahbazov met with Fatih Birol, Executive Director of the International Energy Agency (IEA), on the sidelines of the 10th Annual Global Conference on Energy Efficiency in Brussels.
Fatih Birol described Azerbaijan as a reliable partner in ensuring Europe’s energy security and emphasized the importance of deepening bilateral cooperation.
The meeting highlighted ongoing collaboration with the IEA in support of COP29 initiatives. Discussions focused on monitoring the progress of energy projects, reflecting achievements in IEA reports, and identifying future areas of cooperation.
The two sides also exchanged views on current trends and forecasts in the global energy market.
