Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan have a good basis for development of cooperation towards youth policy, Minister of Youth, Sports and Tourism Abulfaz Garayev stated at the meeting with the delegation of the public movement of Uzbek youth “Kamolot”.

According to the Minister, the first official visit of President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev gave a stimulus to development of bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan. Abulfaz Garayev extended his condolences to Uzbek delegation members on the recent terrorist acts that caused a heavy death toll.

He also updated the guests on the course of realization of the state youth policy, republican youth forums, active participation of Azerbaijani youth in international organizations.

Head of Uzbek delegation Anvar Bozorov invited Abulfaz Garayev to visit Uzbekistan.

In the course of the visit, guests will visit the Youth Issues Center, conduct meetings in Milli Majlis commissions and learn of the work of postal service “Yaps”.

The sides will sign a plan of actions to develop cooperation between “Kamolot” and Ministry of Youth, Sports and Tourism for 2004-2005.
