Azerbaijan Boxing Federation becomes member of World Boxing

The Azerbaijan Boxing Federation has officially joined World Boxing, a not-for-profit international sports federation that prioritizes the interests of boxers and aims to keep boxing at the heart of the Olympic movement.
The international organization confirmed the federation’s membership today.
Publicly launched in April 2023, World Boxing is recognized by the International Olympic Committee as the international governing body for amateur boxing and will sanction boxing at the Summer Olympics starting in 2028.
World Boxing has surpassed the milestone of 100 members after its Executive Board approved the applications of 17 National Federations, bringing its total membership to 106 countries.
