‘Azerbaijan can become a major logistic hub between Asia and Europe’

“Azerbaijan's special geographical position can turn it into a major logistics hub between Asia and Europe,” president of the International Association of Authorized Economic Operator (AEO) Customs and Logistics Antonio Llobet has told journalists in Baku.
He noted that Azerbaijan has historically been an important part of the Great Silk Road. “A number of transport lines of the Great Silk Road crossed through this route in the past. Azerbaijan plays a key role in cargo transportation from the North to the South and East to the West. Due to the current development of transport corridors and its favorable geographical position Azerbaijan will soon become one of the major logistics hubs,” Llobet added.
