AZERBAIJAN CELEBRATES BELARUS REPUBLIC DAY
On July 2, the Embassy of Belarus to Azerbaijan gave an official reception in the "Europe" hotel on the occasion of the country`s national holiday - The Day of Republic.
Welcoming the guests, Belarus Ambassador Nikolay Pastkevich underlined that Belarus and Azerbaijan are developing as independent states and strengthening their positions in the world. Ambassador, in particular, emphasized the role of the heads of two states in strengthening friendly relations between Belarus and Azerbaijan.
The first Deputy Chairman of the Milli Majlis (Parliament of Azerbaijan) Ziyafat Asgarov congratulated Belarus nation on the national holiday on behalf of Azerbaijan President Ilham Aliyev.
Mr. Asgarov noted that Azerbaijan-Belarus relations were built on the solid foundation. "The friendship of two nations has centuries-old history. Reciprocal visits of the heads of two states are of great importance for strengthening these relations", said Mr. Asgarov.
Present at the event were head of the Foreign Relations Department of the Presidential Administration Novruz Mammadov, Foreign Affairs Minister Elmar Mammadyarov, MPs, Ambassadors of the foreign countries and other officials.
