AZERBAIJAN EMBASSY IN BERLIN SENDS PROTEST NOTE TO GERMAN FOREIGN MINISTRY
Azerbaijan`s Embassy in Berlin has sent a note of protest to the Foreign Ministry of Germany after Armenia presented Azerbaijan`s Nagorno-Karabakh region as part of its own territory at the international tourism bourse (ITB) exhibition in the German capital.
The letter reportedly says that given the bitter lessons of previous years, the Azerbaijani side had asked Messe Berlin, the organizer of the exhibition, to prevent Armenian from this kind of provocative moves.
The response of the company was that it was not authorized to interfere with the case as the country’s section at the exhibition is its own territory.
The note stressed that the company’s stance sharply contradicted with that of the German government declaring the recognition of territorial integrity of Azerbaijan.
The document asked the German Foreign Ministry to take necessary steps to put an end to the Armenians’ attempts to present Nagorno-Karabakh as an independent state.
