AZERBAIJAN, FRANCE EXPAND PARLIAMENTARY TIES
Delegation of the French Senate’s France-Caucasus Friendship Group led by Senator Ambroise Dupont arrived in Milli Majlis and familiarized with the Heydar Aliyev Museum.Then, the delegation met with Vice-Speaker of Azerbaijan Parliament Bahar Muradova and members of the working group of Azerbaijan- France Inter-parliamentary ties.
Bahar Muradova spoke of historically existing ties between the two countries that during the independence years have acquired intensive development, noting exclusive merits of the nationwide leader of Azerbaijan Heydar Aliyev. By establishment of diplomatic relations Azerbaijan and France have 
signed some 20 important documents, she stressed. Developing are trade relations between the two countries, expanding are cooperation in the energy sphere.

Bahar Muradova congratulated the guests with the successful presidential elections in France, expressing hope that friendship and cooperation between the two countries would develop further.
Touching upon the Armenia-Azerbaijan, Nagorno Karabakh conflict, the Vice-Speaker of Milli Majlis said that France as a co-chair of the OSCE MG can do a lot in solution of this problem.
