The Azerbaijani government and the Council of Europe’s Venice Commission have a divergence of opinion in some issues regarding discussion of the Electoral Code of Azerbaijan, said Ali Hasanov, Head of Socio-Political Department of the President’s Office.

He said unanswered questions would be discussed in the Milli Majlis of Azerbaijan.

Mr. Hasanov described the talks between the Azerbaijani Government and the Venice Commission as constructive, stressing that the sides have also achieved mutual agreement.

“Though all political parties attended the joint meeting of the Azerbaijani Government and Venice Commission, some questions remained unanswered”, said Ali Hasanov.
