‘Azerbaijan, Iran enjoy excellent relationship’
Baku, April 17 (AZERTAC). Special Representative of the Iranian Health and Medical Education Minister, Rector of the Tabriz Medical Sciences University Mohammad Hossein Somi has praised his country`s relationship with Azerbaijan.
“Our countries enjoy excellent relations,’ he told Azerbaijani Deputy Prime Minister, Chairman of the State Committee for Refugee and IDP Affairs Ali Hasanov.
Hossein Somi lauded the role of national leader Heydar Aliyev in expanding Iran-Azerbaijan ties.
He touched upon Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev`s recent visit to Tehran, expressing confidence the Azerbaijani leader`s meeting with his Iranian counterpart Hassan Rouhani would give impetus to expanding bilateral relations.
He said his visit to Azerbaijan was aimed at strengthening cooperation between the two countries in the field of healthcare.
Hasanov also praised bilateral relations, describing Azerbaijan and Iran as fraternal and friendly countries and sincere neighbours.
The Deputy Prime Minister highlighted Azerbaijan`s achievements.
On the Armenia-Azerbaijan Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, the Deputy Premier said it was the most painful and the only problem of the Azerbaijani people.
Ali Hasanov also hailed the work of Iran’s Imdad Committee in Azerbaijan.
