AZERBAIJAN-KAZAKHSTAN INTERGOVERNMENTAL ECONOMIC COOPERATION COMMISSION`S MEETING DUE IN ASTANA
A regular meeting of the commission for Azerbaijan-Kazakhstan intergovernmental economic cooperation will take place in Astana, the capital of Kazakhstan.
During the meeting, the sides will examine the documents on development of the economic ties between the two countries, Azerbaijan`s Ministry for Economic Development said. The sides are making the final preparations for determination of the time and the agenda of the meeting. After, Azerbaijani delegation will leave for Kazakhstan.
The last meeting of the Commission was held in Baku, April. Since 2006, the commodity turnover between the two countries has doubled. The sides agreed to build the grain terminal at Hovsani region of Azerbaijan, as well as carry out the various projects in the field of economy.
During his visit to Baku, April 4 2007, Kazakhstan`s Prime Minister Karim Masimov discussed with Azerbaijan President Ilham Aliyev and Prime Minister Artur Rasizade the enhancement of cooperation in economy, transport and energy sections.
