Azerbaijan, Lithuania sign renewed military cooperation agreement
Baku, Sept 17 (AZERTAC). Azerbaijan’s defense minister colonel-general Safar Abiyev made an official visit to the Republic of Lithuania.
After the Azerbaijani minister was officially welcomed, Mr. Abiyev and defense minister of Lithuania Rasa Juknevičienė had a private meeting. Then, the sides had a meeting in presence of delegations.
The sides decided to enlarge cooperation links in the years to come, and signed the renewed agreement on military cooperation.
Azerbaijan’s ambassador to this country Hasan Mammadzade took part at the meetings.
Safar Abiyev is expected to have some official meetings with the Lithuanian dignitaries.
